Booking setup

Booking setup is the Setup tab of Reservations, under Bookings & floor. Slot length and largest party are under "Booking rules" on the same tab.

Service shifts

Under "Service shifts", press "New shift" to add lunch, dinner or any service you take bookings for. A shift has a name, the days it runs, a "First seating" and a "Last seating", and the areas it books (leave all unticked to book every area). Guests pick a time every few minutes between the two. Tick "Guests can book this shift online" to let guests book it themselves; off means only the desk books it. Without shifts, guests can book any time in your opening hours.

Each shift also carries:

• "Pace": the most covers that may sit down in any 15 minutes. Empty means no limit.
• "Turn times": how many minutes a party keeps the table, by party size, plus a figure for larger parties. Press "Add a party size" for another band.
• "Card guarantee": "From party of", "Fee per person" and "Cancel window (hours)". The guest leaves a card when booking, and nothing is charged unless they do not come or cancel inside the window. Connect Stripe under Settings, "Card payments with Stripe", first, or guests book without one.

Tables that join

Under "Tables that join", pick a "First table" and a "Second table" and press "Add pair". Use it for two tables you push together for a party neither seats alone. You need two tables first.

Booking options

Under "Booking options", the switches save as soon as you flip them:

• "Offer Notify me on full evenings": when a table frees up, the first guest waiting gets it for 15 minutes.
• "Ask guests to reconfirm": the day before, guests get a link to confirm they are coming or cancel.
