Delivery

Delivery is your own fleet: your zones, your drivers and your cash, with no platform commission in the middle. It is part of the Growth and Pro plans. The board is the Dispatch tab of Delivery, under Orders & payments; the roster is its Drivers tab, and the zones its Zones tab.

Switch it on

Under Settings, General, tick "Enable delivery orders". A delivery fee and a minimum order can be set there as a fallback, in minor units (millimes or cents). Until delivery is on, the Dispatch board shows "No delivery order can reach this board until delivery is turned on" and guests are offered dine-in and pickup only.

Draw the zones

Open the Zones tab. Each zone has a name, an area outline, a delivery fee, a minimum order, a typical time in minutes and a priority. The priority decides which zone wins when two outlines overlap. A guest ordering for delivery picks their zone at checkout and sees the fee and the minimum before confirming, so nobody discovers a fee at the door.

Add drivers

Under Drivers, add each driver with a name, a vehicle and a cash limit. A driver is Off, Free, Out or on a Break; the board reads that status when it suggests who should take the next run. "Cash limit" and "Carrying" show how much cash a driver may hold and how much they hold right now. "Take cash" records the money handed back at the end of a run under "Cash movements". A driver who still has cash outstanding cannot be removed; record the remittance first.

Dispatch an order

A delivery order arrives on the board under "Waiting". Press "Assign a driver"; the driver the board thinks is best is marked "Suggested first". Once assigned, the order moves to "On the road" and the driver marks it "Picked up", then delivered. If nobody answers the door, choose "Failed" and answer "What happened?" so the reason is kept with the order.

On the guest side, the order status page shows "Out for delivery with" and the driver's first name from the moment the order is picked up. Nothing else about the driver is shared.

Delivery from the till

The point of sale has a Delivery tab on plans that include delivery. Enter the guest's phone, address, city and zone; the zone's fee is added to the total. A coupon code can be applied on the same ticket. See the POS and till guide for the rest of the ticket.

Several branches

The board shows the orders of the branch you are working in, plus any placed before branches existed. Drivers can be attached to a branch or serve any branch. A guest who chose a location on your page orders onto that branch's board.

Reports

Cash on delivery appears as its own method in the "Sales by payment method" report, and the drivers' cash movements are listed on each driver. Try the flow on the demo before your first evening.
