Integrations and API
Both are in the Connections group of Settings: the directory is the "Integrations" card, and API tokens, webhooks and your own POS are on "API and webhooks". Both need access to Settings.
The directory
Every integration BookNDish connects to has a card with its category and a status: "Connected", "Available" or "Coming soon". Search by name or filter by category, such as Payments, Point of sale, Delivery apps or Accounting. "Set up" or "Manage" opens the screen where that integration is configured; nothing is configured in the directory itself. "See plans" appears when your plan lacks the feature.
API tokens
On the "API and webhooks" page, open "API tokens", name the token, tick only the permissions it needs and press "Create token". Copy it at once: it is shown only one time. Give each tool its own token, so "Revoke" cuts one off without breaking the others.
Webhooks
Under "Webhooks", add an https address and choose the events. We send a signed POST for each event. Copy the signing secret when it appears, since it is shown once, and use it to check the BookNDish-Signature header. A failed delivery is retried for about nine hours; after many failures in a row the address is switched off and you get an email. "Recent deliveries" lists each attempt, with "Resend".
Your own POS
Under "Your POS", press "Connect" for your till. Choose the location that receives orders and tick "Send guest orders to the POS". "Import menu" brings its menu into a menu of its own here, and "Disconnect" stops the orders but keeps the dishes. The other tabs cover delivery apps, Reserve with Google, SMS and accounting.
Apps from the marketplace
Find apps on the BookNDish marketplace with the "Browse apps" button on the "Installed apps" card in Settings. "Install" asks you to choose the venue and shows exactly what the app will be able to do; nothing is shared until you press "Allow". Installed apps are listed on that card, with what each may do and who allowed it. "Uninstall" stops its access at once and it receives no more of your events. "Rate this app" tells other venues what you think.
To publish an app of your own, open "API and webhooks", then "Publish an app": register it, copy the client secret shown once, and press "Submit for review". BookNDish lists it once it is approved.
