Inventory

Inventory lives under Menu & stock, then Inventory. It is part of the Growth and Pro plans. Reading a supplier invoice from a photo costs an AI call, so it has its own monthly allowance.

Start tracking

Press "Start tracking stock" and add the ingredients you want to follow, each with a stock unit (kilograms, litres, pieces) and a par level. Then add the suppliers you buy them from, with a contact and payment terms. "Stock levels" shows each ingredient with "On hand", "Par" and "Value"; anything under par is what Home counts as "Ingredients below par".

Recipes deplete stock

Open a dish under Menus and find the "Recipe" card. List what one serving takes out of the store, in each ingredient's stock unit, with a yield factor: 1 means no loss, 1.15 means 15% is lost trimming or peeling. From then on every sale of that dish depletes stock, and the dish gets a food cost on the Margins page. A dish with no recipe is marked "No recipe" there, one click from its editor.

Purchase orders

Under Purchase orders, press "New purchase order", choose the supplier and where to deliver, and add lines with a unit cost. "Fill order from low stock" adds every ingredient under par at once. "Send to supplier" emails the order and marks it Ordered; a draft can still be cancelled before that. When the delivery arrives, "Receive delivery" books the quantities in; "Close short" closes an order that will never be completed.

Invoices from a photo

Under Invoices, press "Read an invoice" and upload a photo or PDF. Each line on the invoice is matched to one of your ingredients with its unit price; correct a wrong match, mark a line "Not an ingredient", then "Make a purchase order" from what is left, or "Discard". When "This month's AI allowance is used up" shows, the reader waits for the next month.

Counts and waste

"New count sheet" opens a sheet for everything or for a chosen list. Enter counts, save as you go, then "Post count": the sheet shows "Books said" against what you counted and posts the difference as a movement. A posted count is history and cannot be edited. "Log waste" records what was thrown away, where it happened.

The movements ledger

"All movements" is the ledger: every delivery, sale, waste entry, count and transfer, newest first, with its reference and who booked the document. Filter by ingredient, branch, type or dates and "Export CSV" for your accountant. Nothing here can be edited; a correction is a new movement.

Several branches

Stock is held per branch. The lists show the branch you are working in; "Transfers" moves stock between branches, which the Branches guide describes. Long lists are capped and say how many of the total are shown.
