Kitchen display

The kitchen display lives under Orders & payments, then Kitchen display. Every round sent from the till or ordered from a table code lands there the moment it is sent, as a ticket on the station that cooks it.

Stations

Stations are created under Floor & QR, on the Tables tab, in the "Kitchen stations" section, for example Grill, Cold or Pastry. Assign a station to a category or to a single item in the menu builder; items with no station go to the default station. The default station cannot be deleted, and a station with queued or firing tickets, or with items still assigned to it, cannot be deleted either.

Expo and station views

The Kitchen page opens on the expo view: every open ticket, with the station load, so the person at the pass sees the whole picture. Each station has its own view, reached from the header, showing only its items with the course and the table.

Tickets are ordered oldest first and each card shows its age. The header shows how many tickets are open and how old the oldest is.

Bump and serve

"Bump" marks a ticket ready. "Serve" marks it delivered. On the expo view the primary action marks a whole order served; on a station view it bumps one ticket. If a bump fails, the error is shown on the card rather than lost.

Allergy notes

A note left by the guest travels with the item to the station that cooks it and is flagged on the card. It is not a separate list to remember.

Language and connection

The ticket language can differ from the admin language: set "Kitchen ticket language" under Settings, General, so a French-speaking kitchen reads French tickets while the owner works in Arabic.

If the live feed stops, a "Connection lost" banner appears and the page polls for updates until the connection returns. Tickets may be out of date while it shows.
