Payment setup

Everything about taking money is under Settings. Cash at the till works from day one and needs no setup; online payments need a gateway and its keys. Card rates, local payment methods, Tap and payouts have their own guide, Payouts and card rates.

Cash only

Under Settings, General, tick "We take cash only" if no card or online payment is needed. That completes the payments step of the setup checklist and nothing else is asked. Payments at the till are then cash, or "Card at the terminal" when you take a card on your own terminal and record it by hand.

Online payments

In the same section, "Online payments" lists the gateways guests can pay through:

• Konnect, for Tunisian dinar, cards and wallets. Guests pay from the phone at checkout, and reservation deposits are Konnect payment links.
• Stripe, for cards in euro or dollar.

Tick the ones you use. A gateway that is ticked but has no keys saved is offered to nobody.

Gateway keys

Under Settings, Gateway keys, on the "API and webhooks" card, enter the keys: for Konnect the API key and the receiver wallet ID, for Stripe the secret key and the webhook signing secret. Keys are stored encrypted and never shown again in full. Press "Check connection": "Connected. The key was accepted." means the gateway answered; "Refused. Check the key and save it again." means it did not. "Last webhook" shows when the gateway last called back, which is how a payment becomes Paid on your side. Ten checks a minute are allowed.

The same card holds the WhatsApp access token and phone number ID for guest messages.

Pay at the table

Under Settings, "Pay at the table" decides what a guest sees when settling from their phone (on every paid plan):

• "Tip buttons": up to four percentages shown on the bill; leave empty to offer no tip.
• "Service fee" and "Who pays the fee": the guest, added to the bill, or the restaurant, taken from the total.
• "Accepted at the table": Konnect, Card (Stripe), Cash with the waiter.
• "Review link": shown once the bill is settled; a Google or TripAdvisor page works well.

Paying at the counter is always available whatever is ticked.

Delivery and cash on the road

Delivery orders can be paid online or in cash to the driver. Cash on delivery is tracked per driver, as the Delivery guide describes.

Refunds

A payment taken online can be refunded from Orders & payments, then Payments, by a manager or an owner, and the refund goes back the way it came. A reservation deposit is refunded from the booking. Refunds appear in the "Voids, comps, discounts and refunds" report.

Tax on receipts

The receipt shows VAT per rate from the tax profiles under Settings, Tax. With a Tunisian currency the fiscal stamp is added per order. The "VAT summary" report totals the tax collected per rate for the period.
