Terms of service

The agreement between restaurants that use the platform and us.

Last updated 7 October 2026

Who the agreement is with

These terms are an agreement between BookNDish, registered at available on request ("we"), and every restaurant, café, bar or hotel that opens an account on the platform, together with the people who use that account on its behalf. By creating an account you accept them. Guests who order or book through a restaurant’s pages are not party to this agreement; their relationship is with the restaurant, and their data is covered by our privacy policy.

Accounts and the free trial

Every account starts with a seven-day trial of the plan chosen at sign-up, with no card required. If that plan has not been paid for when the trial ends, the account is paused: the back office opens only on billing and the guest pages take no new orders until a plan is paid for, and nothing is deleted. The owner of the account is responsible for who they invite, for keeping passwords private, for turning on two-factor sign-in, and for everything done from the account by their team.

Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed per branch at the price shown on the pricing page when you subscribe, in the currency shown there, plus any tax that applies. Invoices are issued at the start of each period and paid through the payment methods offered in the billing area. You can cancel at any time; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period, and the account is then paused in the same way until a plan is paid for again. If an invoice stays unpaid after reminders, we may suspend the paid modules until it is settled.

Your responsibilities as a restaurant

You are responsible for what you publish: menu items, prices, allergen information, opening hours and photographs must be accurate and yours to use. You must collect and handle your guests’ personal data lawfully, give them the information the law requires, and comply with the food, tax, fiscal register and consumer laws that apply to your business. Where your country requires a certified cash register, you must use one. You must not use the platform to send messages guests have not agreed to receive.

Guest orders and payments

When a guest orders or books, the contract for the meal, the room or the table is between the guest and you. We provide the tools to take the order and the payment; we do not prepare, deliver or refund anything ourselves. Online payments are processed by the payment providers you connect, under their own terms and fees. Refunds and disputes with guests are yours to resolve, and we will give you the records you need to do so.

Your data and ours

Your menu, orders, bookings and guest records remain your data. We process guest data on your behalf under our data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms. You can export your data while your account is open. After you close your account we delete it within 30 days, except what we must keep by law, and it leaves our backups within five weeks after that.

Availability and acceptable use

We work to keep the platform available and publish its live state on the status page, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted; we will tell you about planned maintenance in advance where we can. You must not attempt to break into the platform, test its security without following our responsible disclosure policy, overload it, or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that puts the platform or other users at risk.

Liability, changes and governing law

Our liability to you for any claim connected with the platform is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, except where the law does not allow such a limit. We may update these terms; if a change reduces your rights we will notify the account owner by email at least thirty days before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of the country where the operator is established and any dispute goes to the competent courts of that country, unless the law of your country gives you a right to go to your own courts. Questions about them can be sent through the contact page.
